Random fixes and added extent creation code to work with latest tracker version/segmentation writer.

So also enabled the global-patching c code.

- readConnectData now uses textscan instead of fgetl line by line

Detection and cost sources determine the exact form of the extent checks and associated cost,
however the general implementation allows prefix paths if it appears that an object is leaving
the extents.  A further improvement would be to set up a phantom point in predicted direction
and allow that path to compete with the rest of the discovered paths.

This file ignores the standard output artifacts of a vs2008 build as
well as ignoring local project user options and project intellisense
files.  Also ignores matlab autosave files.
